3. SQUADRON SUPPLY NOTES:
PARKA VALIDATION – We started this validation 2 WEEKS AGO with just over half the squadron bringing in their parkas. We will continue with our Parka Validation this Friday.
Those that did not validate their parka last week, it is imperative that you do so this Friday. With winter coming upon us and Remembrance Day activities coming up over the coming weeks with outdoor items, we need to make sure that it fits correctly and in Good Order. Upon arrival, you and your parka are to report directly to supply.
NAME TAGS – While Supply was compiling a list to order name tags for the end of this week so we had them for Remembrance Day; the list somehow has disappeared from supply. We are asking that all cadets who are without a Name Tag or an incorrectly spelled name tag to see supply this Friday Night. THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO ENSURE YOU ORDER A NAME TAG IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE.
Uniform Exchanges – you will be in the public eye in the coming weeks, if something does not fit just right, is too small, or stained and cannot be cleaned, please see supply to get the matter taken care of. It was noticed last week at a glance, there are several cadets with pants that are too short.
4. FLYING SCHOLARSHIP CLASSES SAT and MON
Attention all Scholarship Cadets, as a reminder, we will be having Ground School as normally scheduled this coming Saturday as we finish off Air Law and take up Test 3.
On Monday 05 Nov, you will have Test Number 4 which will include all material up to and including Navigation. There will be no Air Law on the test. This test is worth 30% of your overall Scholarship Ground School Mark.

Next week is the last evening where we will by having Practice for the 24hr Vigil. During the practice, a detailed briefing will be provided regarding the Vigil to all cadets present. A subsequent Warning Order for the Vigil will be produced for distribution shortly thereafter.
It is the Commanding Officer’s intent to stand up the Squadron Guard by Remembrance Day to take part in the National Flag Party. We encourage any cadet who would like to try out for the Flag Party, Guard or participate in the 24hr Vigil on 10-11 Nov to come on out and see what this is all about. I would like to thank all those cadets and parents who helped out last weekend with the Poppy Campaign last minute. Due to the number of conflicting activities numbers were really low in supporting our Legions and Veterans.
Staff hope that this coming weekend will see more cadets assist in the Poppy Campaign and sign up on Friday Night. Remember Cadets, we are asking that over the 10 session scheduled, each cadet perform a minimum of 4 Poppy sessions (We are now down to 6 sessions left). Sign Up lists are at the back of the Parade Square.
Parents, we also need your help in keeping our cadets safe and volunteer as a driver/observer for a couple sessions if you have the time. Thank you in advance.
The full warning order is once again attached to this WRO.
